Claire Cope ~ BME, Peabody College of Vanderbilt Univ.; over 20 yrs teaching experience; member of the National Guild of Piano Teachers; performs for church services weddings, hotels and private events. Has taught at Shuff’s for more than 20 years.
Pam Davis ~ BME, MA, Eastern Michigan University, Doctoral studies at University of Memphis. Has taught at Shuff’s for more than 20 years.
Cherry Bilyeu ~ BM, MM, piano performance, North Texas State Univ.; artist in residence, Williamson, Maury County Schools and in Europe; performed vocals and keyboards on the General Jackson and the Hyatt Hotel. Emphasis on classical, jazz, pop, composition, theory, improvisation, playing by ear & songwriting lessons are tailored to suit each students needs and interests. Also works with singers and songwriters. Has taught at Shuff’s for more than 15 years.
Kim Spiegel ~ BM, John Brown Univ.; former music instructor at Davidson Academy and Harpeth Academy. Has taught at Shuff’s for more than 15 years.
Ken Rarick ~ BM, North Texas State University, majors in keyboard performance, arranging & improvisation; has performed or recorded with such artists as: Air Supply, Larry Carlton, Cher, Amy Grant, Michael Jackson, Madonna and others. Has taught at Shuff’s for more than 5 years.
Rick Jackson ~ BM, MM, Univ. of Houston; skilled performer of classical, jazz, pop, country, gospel & other genres; experienced in performing & teaching jazz improv & composition; has recorded, toured or played with Larry Carlton, Kirk Whalum, Johnny Rivers, Amy Grant, Andy Williams, Michael McDonald and others. Trish Lober ~ Commercial Arranging Major: Berkelee College of Music in Boston; Jazz Composition and Arranging Major: University of Memphis. Independent Christian Artist. Rina Melius ~ BM, Belmont Univ., studied at Oberlin Conservatory and Manhattan School of Music; performer with the NAMMY winning children’s band “The Animal Band.” Has taught at Shuff’s for more than 10 years.
Suzanne Clement ~ MTSU graduate; advanced piano studies with Cherry Bilyeu and Paul Lyman; emphasis on basic elements, technique, performance skills and creativity, degrees in education, sociology, and nursing. Has taught at Shuff’s for more than 5 years.
Michelle Chewning ~ BS, TN Wesleyan College; has taught at W.O. Smith School; directed children's choir and handbells; has written and produced various children’s shows; plays for local theater.; extensive experience teaching Preschool music. Has taught at Shuff’s for more than10 years.

John Alvey ~ Univ. of Louisville, Jazz Studies Program, session drummer in jazz, funk, big band, R&B, and alternative/folk rock; performs with Paradigm, a jazz/funk group; performed locally w/jazz artists Beegie Adair, Rod McGaha, Jim Ferguson, Dennis Solee, Don Aliquo, John Birdsong and Roger Spencer. Extensive orchestral and marching percussion experience. Has taught at Shuff’s for more than 2 years.
Tom Grignon ~ BM, New England Conservatory of Music; Extensive professional touring, recording, TV and teaching experience since 1973. Played drums with Clay Walker, Trisha Yearwood, Ellis Brothers, Keith Urban and Blake Shelton. All ages, all levels - lessons in Rock, Jazz, Latin, Blues, Funk, Concert Band, Marching Drumline and Bells.
